Witness appeal after Broadway attack

by isleofman.com 27th January 2015

Police want to speak to people who witnessed an unprovoked attack against two men on Broadway, Douglas.

They were assaulted by one man who also damaged several cars.

The man was arrested and charged with several offences including assault and criminal damage. He's been remanded in custody and will appear in court again on February 3.

A police spokesman said: 'Unprovoked attacks such as this are thankfully rare on the island. No one was seriously injured although one victim had his injuries treated in hospital.'

The attack happened at about 2.45pm on Saturday January 24 and police are trying to trace a man who had been walking his dog, who may also have been assaulted but who has not yet come forward.
