QE2 high school shortlisted for another eco award

A Manx secondary school has been short-listed in two categories at the Keep Britain Tidy awards.
QE2 school in Peel has seen off competition from 90 other entrants for the Eco-Committee of the Year and Diamond Jubilee awards.
Entries are assessed on a number of criteria including innovative plans and impact on the community.
Projects put forward by the school range from recycling t-shirts into scarves and pet toys to growing food for their own canteen.
The winners of the UK-wide competitions will be announced on February 12 at a ceremony at Lutyen's Crypt in Liverpool.
