Speed cameras should be considered in Kirk Michael says Minister

by isleofman.com 28th January 2015
The Infrastructure Minister says it’s been statistically proven speed cameras are the most productive way of slowing down drivers.
Phil Gawne admits he’s keen to work with Michael Commissioners and the MHK for the area to make traffic flow safer through the village.
But, speaking in the House of Keys, he told Michael MHK Alf Cannan that introducing a 20 miles per hour speed limit in itself won’t solve speeding concerns.
Mr Gawne admits a number of options are worth considering, including rethinking the design of the main road.
