Michael Chairman in favour of 20mph speed limit

by isleofman.com 29th January 2015
The Chairman of Michael Commissioners says he is in favour of a 20 mph speed limit in Kirk Michael.
John Barron says concerns about the speed of vehicles travelling through the village have been voiced for a number of years.
The matter was raised in the House of Keys yesterday by local MHK Alf Cannan who quizzed Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne.
Mr Gawne said he was against imposing a temporary lower speed limit as it would make little difference to drivers and he wasn't going to waste tax-payers money.
Mr Barron says the location of Kirk Michael itself makes it difficult to find a solution:-
