Enjoy a slice of Hot Pi

by isleofman.com 29th January 2015

MICTA and the Code Club will meet the Pi-Top Team as they visit the Island on the 9th of February 2015.

Energetic Founders of Pi-Top (Ryan Dunwoody and Jesse Lozano) will showcase their new prototypes fresh from the factory in China.  MICTA will be the first to hear about the new and innovative products and members will be able to talk to the team about the use of the products, product development and how the guys have taken the Pi-Tops to a global market.

The Raspberry Pi is the world’s smallest computer used in electronics projects, and for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. The Pi Team want to see it being used by kids all over the world to learn programming.

MICTA’s Code Club members are currently working with Raspberry Pi’s and this event is MICTA’s first fundraiser which hopes to provide the Island’s first Pi educational pack.

If you would like to donate to this project please go to our fundraising link on http://www.micta.im/#!schools-fundraising-pi/cwra.
