Ramsey post office discussions ongoing

by isleofman.com 3rd February 2015

Discussions are ongoing over the possible relocation of the Ramsey crown post office.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Robertshaw confirmed the position in the House of Keys after a series of questions.
He told colleagues he had met the post office board twice and the chairman of Ramsey Commissioners three times to discuss all options.
A three-month consultation period began in mid-December to assess whether the loss-making Ramsey and Douglas post offices should be transferred to nearby Spar shops.
Mr Robertshaw said he did not want the courthouse building in Ramsey to lie empty if the post office was relocated.
He also denied a suggestion Post Office chairman Graham Creegen was not involved in the discussions.
