Raising a glass to beer festival

by isleofman.com 4th February 2015

The Campaign for Real Ale is holding its increasingly popular Isle of Man festival at the Villa Marina in April.

Organisers say the fourth event will be bigger and better than ever.

A spokesman said: 'The first festival had a hall capacity of 250. With the addition of a marquee for the second this rose to 400. This year’s CAMRA Festival at the Villa will have a hall capacity of 1,000 for each session.'

More than 1,900 people came through the doors of the Freemasons'Hall in 2014, with more than 200 visitors from off the island. Last year's event was officially opened by Bishop Robert Patterson, pictured with members of the Rob Vine Fund, the charity that benefited from last year's event.
