Commissioner wants to know Sita charges

by isleofman.com 5th February 2015
An Onchan Commissioner is calling for the Department of Infrastructure to reveal how much it's charged by the operator of the energy from waste plant, Sita.
Rob Callister has been speaking after Onchan announced it was putting its rates up by close to six per cent.
The rise has been blamed, in part, on the transfer of some services from government to local authorities.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne has said the cost to local authorities has been offset by a one-year freeze of the ongoing increases in charges at the energy from waste plant.
He's described the arrangement as 'cost neutral'.
