How do elderly contribute to society?

What contribution do the older generation make to society in the Island?

That question will be explored at a public meeting tonight.

A rapidly ageing population is leading to serious debate about how to fund welfare, pensions and health care for future generations.

Roger Tomlinson, from the Positive Action Group, says it’s an issue which presents similar issues for both developed and developing nations (play audio)
The meeting at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas starts at seven thirty.
