ICT wages overtake banking

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says the average wage of It workers has surpassed that of those in the Island's banking industry.

He revealed the figures in the House of Keys this week as he told MHKs the government is committed to the Island's financial industry.

Mr Skelly said despite job losses and a period of change in banking, many individual sectors are still growing.

He said the salary figures reflect the changing face of the Manx economy:Clip 1
