Nail-studded piece of wood found on green lane

by isleofman.com 26th February 2015

What are described as sharp and dangerous objects have been left on some green lanes across the Island.
A piece of wood with nails through it was found on the Cooil Roi Lane, Baldrine.
Police say things like this can cause serious injury, and doing something like this is an offence under the Road Traffic Act.
They are asking members of the public using these lanes to be vigilant and watch out for items such as this.
Sergeant Gary Heaton says it's frightening to think someone would do such a thing and it goes without saying that it is incredibly irresponsible.
He adds that the green lanes are roads just like any other on the Island and attract the same weight of the law for any offences.
