Green lanes danger

by isleofman.com 26th February 2015

Police are warning people to beware of dangerous items like this (pictured) that are being deliberately left on green lanes across the island.

This piece of wood studded with nails was found on the Cooil Roi Lane in Baldrine.

Sergeant Gary Heaton said: 'It’s frightening to think that someone would do such a thing and it goes without saying that it is incredibly irresponsible. The Green Lanes are roads just like any other road on the Island and attract the same weight of the law for
offences.

'Green Lanes are enjoyed and used by many different groups of people on the Island and if people have concerns or are angry about who and how Green Lanes are being used then there are better ways to express themselves rather than potentially harm someone or cause serious damage.'
