Bank branches closing today

by isleofman.com 27th February 2015
Three more Isle of Man Bank branches close their doors for the final time on Friday.
The ones in Ballasalla, Onchan, and Prospect Terrace in Douglas are shutting.
Making the announcement about the closures in October last year, Isle of Man Bank Managing Director Bill Shimmins said they were motivated by a 30% drop in people using these branches over the last four years, and a 200% increase in mobile transactions.
A mobile bank has been introduced, which visits towns and villages which no longer have a branch.
There have been concerns from some the vehicle may not visit often enough or stay long enough, and doesn't have disabled access.
