Passports printed off-island from today

by isleofman.com 4th March 2015
Isle of Man passports will be printed off-Island from today (Wednesday).

The Passport Office in Douglas has printed the documents since 1967 but work’s being moved to a central secure facility in the UK because of the increased costs of producing modern passports with enhanced security features.
A new design of variant British passports is being rolled out to all crown dependencies.
The office in Douglas is continuing to deliver same-day passport services until March 19.
