SMP Partners Managing Director Mark Denton said: ‘SMP Partners has been an active supporter of Manx Cancer Help for some time, and during 2014 we focused on raising vital funds for the charity, as well as spreading the message about the invaluable services it provides to the Isle of Man.
‘I’m delighted we have been able to raise such a substantial amount and hope it will make a significant contribution to Manx Cancer Help’s work.’
Established in 1983, Manx Cancer Help provides specialist psychological and emotional support to anyone whose life has been affected by a cancer diagnosis. Based at the Lisa Lowe Centre, Manx Cancer Help is completely self-funded, achieved through events, donations and collaborations with local businesses and individuals.
Charity Chief Executive Andrea Chambers added: ‘We rely entirely on donations and support from the Island community, and the incredible amount raised by SMP Partners will make a huge difference to our charity and the people who use our services.
‘In addition to the tremendous fundraising, being selected as SMP Partners’ Charity of the Year has helped us build even greater awareness of what we do, which will bring real long-term benefits to Manx Cancer Help.’
