The ICM Group gives staff two volunteering days each year in order to support local charities with some practical help. Many charities have benefited over the years and last week it was Douglas based charity Housing Matters.
The charity was formed to provide advice and help for homeless people on the Isle of Man. It also co-ordinates a number of schemes on the island to reduce homelessness.
On Wednesday 5th August, three ICM staff members arrived at their headquarters armed with brushes and rollers, to help decorate their offices.
Catherine Britnell of Dominion Marine and Laura Corrin and Lindsey Crellin from the Group's accounts department, worked all day to decorate as much as possible within the short space of time.
Neal Mellon, Director and Centre Manager, thanked the team for their hard work:
"Catherine, Lindsey and Laura did a great job and the whole building looks totally refreshed. The staff, volunteers and clients will all benefit. The girls not only worked non-stop but they cleared up afterwards, with all the rollers and brushes and trays left clean and ready for future use. The three of them have been very professional. There is just a small area left to paint which they couldn't reach even if they were mountain goats but I know just the person to finish this. Thanks again to ICM."For further information about the charity please visit
