Flooding island-wide

by isleofman.com 3rd December 2015

The emergency services are warning people not to travel unless its urgent, as floods close roads around the island.

The mountain road has been closed after a landslide from Lheanney Road in Ramsey to Hillberry in Douglas. Power lines have come down on Minorca Hill in Laxey, closing that road.

The police, fire brigade and Department of Infrastructure workers are tackling the floods around the island but warn that their resources are stretched and not all hazardous areas will have warning signs.
