Chance for public to talk to Minister
Members of the public will have an opportunity to learn about plans to develop the Island's Health and Social cares services over the next five years.
A series of roadshows gets underway next week across all areas of the Island . . as part of the work to implement the Island's Health and Social Care Strategy which was approved by Tynwald at its October 2015 sitting.
Minister for Health and Social Care, Howard Quayle MHK says they want the public to have the opportunity to put forward their ideas and suggestions about what is most important to them in this first phase of the plans.
The roadshows will consist of a presentation by the Minister and the Department’s Chief Executive Dr Malcolm Couch. Those present will also have the opportunity to talk to the Minister, political Members and senior officers of the Department, exploring five stands, one for each key theme of the Department’s strategy . . namely, prevention, community care that works, acute care, safeguarding people and residential care.
The first Roadshow will be at Castle Rushen High School from 7-9pm on Thursday 21st January, with others in Ramsey Grammar School on Monday 25th, St Ninians High School Douglas on Thursday 28th, Queen Elizabeth II High School Peel on Monday 1st Feb and the Isle of Man College on Wednesday 3rd Feb
