Health boss responds to whistleblower page

Noble's nurses facebook page pulled twice

Hospital staff should feel they can use official channels to speak up about issues - anonymously, if they wish to - and not resort to posting on social media.

That from Department of Health and Social Care Chief Executive Malcolm Couch.

His comments come after a Facebook page called "Noble's Hospital Isle of Man Exposed" was set up and removed twice.

It claimed to be set up by nurses, who said they were going to reveal the truth about what is happening at Noble's, citing problems with internal systems rather than patient care itself.

Malcolm Couch admits there are issues to be addressed, but efforts are being made to improve things:
