Half-term fun at the Family Library

by isleofman.com 10th February 2016
It may be the half-term holidays, but there is plenty going on at the Family Library.

Wednesday sees Jumping Super Heroes from 10.30am to midday (?2) and Chinese New Year Animation from 1.30pm to 3pm (free).

There’s more Chinese New Year craft on Thursday afternoon, from 1.30pm to 4pm. This session is free.

Friday sees another Super Hero Craft session from 1.30pm to 4pm (?1). You can also drop in during the week to make a Super Hero to display in the library.

Saturday sees the launch of a new twice-monthly venture in the Family Library, with Girl Gang. The weekend workshops are for girls aged eight and over – no boys allowed!

This first session, which will include ‘galentine’ crafts, runs from 1pm-2pm and costs ?5 to take part.

Librarian-in-charge Mary Cousins said: ‘We’ve got such a lot going on at the Family Library this holiday, why not pop in?

‘We’re particularly excited about our new Girl Gang workshops and should add that boys are still more than welcome to the library when they’re on as there’s plenty for them to do too!’

To find out more about what’s on at the Family Library and Mobile Family Library, check out their pages on Facebook, visit www.familylibrary.im or call the library on 640650.

The Family Library is next to the children’s playground in Westmoreland Road, Douglas.
