South Douglas constituency to stay the same

by isleofman.com 10th February 2016

It now won't be affected by this year's boundary changes

A South Douglas MHK says retaining the name of his constituency is pretty much 'done and dusted'.

Bill Malarkey yesterday (Tue 9th) moved his amended Representation of the People Bill through its final stages in Tynwald.

It means that South Douglas will now not become West Douglas as part of this year's boundary changes.

Mr. Malarkey says it's a 'common-sense' move.
