‘Monkey business’ at the Majestic: Palace Casino celebrates Chinese New Year

by isleofman.com 12th February 2016
The 2016 Chinese New Year was celebrated on February 8 in glamorous oriental style at the Majestic Restaurant in the Palace Casino.

Around 95 guests enjoyed a lavish Chinese three-course banquet and a performance of a traditional dragon dance - believed to bring prosperity and good health – to usher in the Year of the Monkey. Guests also had an opportunity to try their hand at Palace Casino’s own version of the game show ‘Play Your Cards Right’.

The Sefton Group’s director of hotels and leisure Adrian Brockhouse said: ‘In 2015 we were delighted to introduce the Majestic Restaurant to the Palace Casino, giving us the perfect excuse to welcome in the Chinese New Year with this special event.

‘The evening was a great success: a compelling mix of the Majestic Restaurant’s outstanding food and service and the enduring appeal of the Palace Casino as the ultimate destination for a memorable night out. Such has been the response we would hope to celebrate the 2017 Chinese Year - the Year of the Rooster - in similar style.’

The Majestic Restaurant at the Palace Casino is open seven days a week from 6pm to 1am. It also serves Chinese bar meals and snacks in the Casino Aces Bar from 6pm to 1.30am, seven days a week.

The Casino slot machines are available for play from 6pm nightly and the gaming tables from 7pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and from 9pm Monday to Friday.
