Crookall pressed over Education Council

'Inconsistent' selection process queried

An East Douglas MHK believes the Department of Education and Children acted 'wrongfully' whilst selecting members of the Education Council.

Jon Joughin will press Minister Tim Crookall on the matter when Tynwald sits next week (Tue 16th).

Last month it emerged that an inconsistent selection of interviewers had been used in the recruitment process during December - this was blamed in part on inclement weather.

But Mr. Joughin refuses to accept this, saying that due process was ignored.
