New look for Budget pink book

Makeover forTreasury document

The Manx Treasury says detailed information about next week's budget will be available to Island residents in a new format.

The so-called 'pink book' which contains a breakdown on government revenue, spending and forecasts, has been revamped, for the first time in four decades.

Each department has been given space in the book to outline its plans and priorities - to offer more context to the columns and tables of figures.

The new look pink book will also provide more detail than before on how the diminishing National Insurance fund is being spent.

Chief Financial Officer Sheila Lowe says the makeover of a key document aims to engage the Manx public in the budget process:
