The Star of Hospice prize draw, for the local charity, was drawn on Saturday 6th February live on Manx Radio from Elaine’s Coffee shop at Hospice. The winner of the award-winning Nissan Pulsar, Val Evans, was thrilled to win the vehicle which is a 5 door DIG-T 115 Tekna in black metallic. The top of the range vehicle was first prize in a draw which raised just under ?16,000 for the charity.
There were ten other prizes with their winning ticket numbers: three framed photos of Island Scenes ( 0036); beautiful vase kindly donated by Cubbon and Bregazzi (0482); Proshine Silver car valet Voucher and box of Thorntons Chocolates (0137); Gianni Feraud Silk Tie and Cuff links set (1407); Louis Chaurey Champagne and Fortnum and Mason biscuits (1025); Magnum of champagne (0524) picnic cool bag (0095) Black Grouse scotch Whisky and 4 Stuart Crystal whiskey Tumblers (0511) Intersport voucher and box of Hotel Chocolat selection (0019) and basket picnic hamper full of goodies (0506). All winners have been contacted.
Hospice would like to thank everyone that supported this hugely important fundraising initiative. Chief Executive of Hospice, Margaret Simpson also thanked David Quayle and all the team at Athol Garage for their ongoing support of their charity.

Winner Val Evans, from Douglas said: “I have always been a supporter of Hospice and have had some personal connections with the charity. I was in a chip shop buying lunch when I got the call and thought it was a joke! When I realised I had won I was so thrilled and will really enjoy owning this wonderful car. “
