Tynwald sitting today

by isleofman.com 16th February 2016
Tynwald sits today Tuesday, 16th February, with a packed agenda.

There are 7 questions for oral answer and a further 15 for a written reply covering a variety of local topics.

Michael member, Alf Cannan is to ask the Department of Infrastructure when public safety measures around harbour areas were last reviewed. This follows the sad loss of 19 year old Joshua Caley who fell into Ramsey Harbour in the early hours of the 1st January.

Meanwhile Onchan member, Peter Karran wants an estimate as to the additional cost to Steam Packet fares as the owning company services its debts.

Other matters on the agenda include the siting of a telecommunication pole in Onchan to improve mobile network coverage, the Enterprise Development Scheme, confirmation of the numbers of General Practioners, and making the costings of regional sewage treatment works available for public inspection.
