Funding of Nursing and Residential Care: Call for evidence

On November 17th 2015 Tynwald appointed a Select Committee to consider and report on the feasibility of introducing a dedicated compulsory contribution scheme for those under a certain age, in order to build a fund to provide for the future costs of long-term nursing care.  The Committee’s full remit can be read here.

The Committee would like to invite written submissions from anyone who would like to the comment on this issue, noting that Committees may publish evidence.  Submissions should be sent by March 4th 2016 to the address below.  Email is preferred but hard copy is equally acceptable.

The members of the Committee appointed by Tynwald are Mr Karran, Mr Robertshaw, and Mr Watterson.  The Committee has appointed Mr Robertshaw as its chair.
