Union cautious over budget

Could impede range of workers, boss warns

Working people could be at risk from this year's budget and future approaches to governance, a union boss has warned.

Eric Holmes from Unite the Union isolated pensions, terms for new employees and public pay budgets as issues to be looked into following yesterday's announcement (Tuesday).

He pledged his commitment to ongoing negotiations with the outgoing and incoming administration over the election period.

But Mr. Holmes acknowledged there could be problems ahead.
