A woman from the south of the Island was arrested on Wednesday 10th February, at the Sea Terminal, on suspicion of importing Class A drugs.

The female was subsequently found to have heroin with a value of ?8,400 concealed internally and she appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday charged with serious drug related offences.

DS Vinny Lund said: “The arrest was part of an Operation into the importation of Class A drugs into the Island and the Pro Active Team will continue to target drugs that pose a risk in our community. We would still like to hear from anyone who has information about any criminal activity.”
