Charity welcomes cancer breakthrough

Impressive record of new treatment

A Manx charity leader says new breakthrough cancer treatment is a milestone in the fight to beat the disease.

A trial on Leukaemia patients found more than 90% of participants went into remission following the therapy.

It involves removing white blood cells, modifying them and putting them back in the patient.

President of the Manx Anti-Cancer Association Malcolm Clague, says the development is a game changer.
