Masts are safe says Chair of Communications Commission

Two questions were raised in Tynwald regarding the number of masts around the Island

Concerns over the safety of mobile phone masts are often just down to hyperbole.

That's the belief of the Chairman of the Communications Commission, Juan Watterson.

Two questions were raised in Tynwald yesterday regarding the number of masts around the Island.

Mr Watterson says whilst he appreciates the masts aren't attractive, there's no serious science to suggest they could cause any health problems.
