Police ask for public's road priorities

Facebook survey to ascertain public opinion

Police are asking for your views on what they should concentrate on doing.

Sergeant Steven Lapsley has used the Island’s Roads Policing Unit Facebook page to see which issue people are most concerned about.

He’s asked whether officers should spend more time educating students, patrolling the roads, targeting defective vehicles or enforcing speed limits.

He says all four issues are taken seriously but he’d like to hear the public’s views.

You can take part in the informal survey via Facebook.
