RTC takes delivery of new RCV

by isleofman.com 22nd February 2016

Ramsey Town Commissioners have taken delivery of a new refuse collection vehicle, (RCV).

The vehicle replaces one of Ramsey Town Commissioners’ three-strong fleet.

The keys were handed over to works and development lead member Graham Jones by Gordon Rice, a director of Outdoor Power and Plant, the island’s service agents for Dennis Eagle, the vehicle’s manufacturer.

Mr Jones said: ‘With its narrow-width, 2250mm, chassis and rear steering system, the vehicle offers exceptional manoeuvrability, making it easier to access narrow roads and lanes. The vehicle is also fitted with an emergency brake anti-collision system and is fully compliant with Euro 6 environmental standards. In summary, this is a vehicle very much fit for purpose and one that will help to streamline Ramsey Town Commissioners’ waste management operation.’
