Making our harbours safe after feared tragedy

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says he’ll be considering ways to make the Island’s harbours safer after a student went missing after a New Year’s Eve night out.

Josh Caley, 19, was spotted on CCTV falling into Ramsey Harbour in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Last week in Tynwald, Mr Gawne faced questions about harbour safety and what could be done to prevent tragedies in future.

He says his department will now be looking into the issue:
