Woman targeted in early morning robbery

Police are appealing for the driver of a vehicle who may have seen an attempted robbery taking place early this morning, Monday 22nd February.

A female was walking along Peel Road, Douglas at around 5am, on the opposite side of the road to Hills Meadow, towards Belmont Terrace when she was approached by a person who attempted to take her bag.

The robbery was unsuccessful, the female was unhurt, and the robber ran away towards the direction of the Brown Bobby petrol station.

A vehicle was known to have been travelling along Peel Road from the Brown Bobby area at the time and Police are keen to speak to the driver.
