A Douglas man has been charged over threatening letters sent to the Island’s Treasury Minister.

Police say the 62 year old has been charged under the Protection from Harassment Act 2000.

Eddie Teare MHK received threatening and abusive correspondence through the post in December 2014.

The man, who hasn’t been named by police, will appear before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse on March 8.
