Council confirms Manx Radio as media partner for three community events

by isleofman.com 1st March 2016
Manx Radio is to be the media partner for three of Douglas Borough Council’s major community events in 2016: Noble’s Park Fun Day on Saturday August 6, the fireworks display on Saturday November 5 and the Christmas lights switching-on ceremony on Thursday November 24.

Regeneration and community committee chairman Councillor John Skinner said: ‘The high level of expertise, professionalism and exposure Manx Radio provides complement the hard work put in by so many council officers and staff when organising these large-scale events, so we are pleased to have Manx Radio’s support once again and to welcome them as our media partner in 2016.’

Manx Radio’s business director John Marsom said: ‘As the nation’s station we’re delighted to have been appointed the council’s media partner for what are three truly crowd-pleasing events. It’s a pleasure to be working once again with an organisation which shares our enthusiasm for and commitment to delivering memorable community occasions that provide great entertainment for all the family.’
