Mooragh Prom to remain closed after ordnance find

by isleofman.com 2nd March 2016
Part of the Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey remains closed as what appears to be unexploded second world war ordnance was unearthed during construction work earlier today.

Inspector Derek Flint confirmed: "We have deployed local police specialists who have liaised with Explosives and Ordnance Disposal in the UK (EOD) and arrangements are in place for their attendance on the Island to deal with the issue. This will be resolved as soon as possible, but in the meantime, two properties nearby remain evacuated and a cordon is in place."

The public are being asked to keep away and respect the cordons in place.
