Win free fun activities with the Family Library

by isleofman.com 4th March 2016
The Family Library has launched a new scheme to give young users the chance for free fun.

Young people can pick up a colouring card to fill and then drop back in. Each month there will be a draw made and the winner will be entitled to take part in five activities at the library for free.

Some of the activities at the library are already free, but the pass will entitle the winner to take part in five of the events where a payment is normally required to cover costs.

The draw for the first winner has already taken place, with Kirsten Gardner (pictured) the lucky recipient.

Librarian-in-charge Mary Cousins said: ‘We always like to other members, new and old, the chance to enjoy some fun for free and this is also a great way to demonstrate the wide range of activities we run.

‘We have everything from our Sticky Fingers workshops on Saturdays to the Teddy Time pre-school sessions on Thursdays, as well as the many special events we stage at the library.

‘On top of that, of course, there are many free activities at the library that are available to anyone.’

The Family Library is next to the children’s playground in Westmoreland Road, Douglas. It operates as a charity and also runs the Mobile Library and a Schools Service.

To find out more, check out the Family Library page on Facebook or visit www.familylibrary.im or call the library on 640650.
