Tourism providers consider fresh offer

Short break market is key

Holiday accommodation providers in the Island are being urged to re think their offer to visitors to reflect changing demand. 

Four and five star self-catering properties have been in growing demand in recent years, for independent travellers seeking niche holidays.

A new strategy for growing visitor numbers to the Island over the next four years, analyses opportunities for attracting new groups.

The document, drawn up by tourism chiefs with input from the private sector, identifies the short break market as key. 

Chair of the Isle of Man Self Catering Association Sara Richards says providers may need a fresh approach for long-term growth:
