Advice to delete text immediately

Police are warning the public about a text message scam currently circulating the Island.

Those targeted are being asked to call a number to discuss a large amount of money being taken out of your account by Apple Online.

The fraudsters claim to be from Barclays Bank, but police say this is not how your bank would contact you.

Officers are advising anyone who receives the text to delete it immediately.
