House of Keys sitting tomorrow

The House of Keys sits tomorrow Tuesday, 8th March, with a packed agenda.

There are 13 questions for oral answer and a further 6 for a written reply covering a variety of local topics.

The Marriage and Civil Partnership (Amendment) BIll 2016 will also have its third reading.

Onchan Member, Peter Karrran is to ask as to the savings identified since Dependability Limited started to assess claimants on long term benefits and how many claimants have returned to work.

Douglas South Member, Kate Beecroft, is to ask how often claimants of disability living allowance are reassessed and by whom.

Member for Onchan, David Quirk, is to ask the Minister for Education and Children as to policy on children walking to and from school.

Other matters on the agenda include the training of local people for medical jobs to alleviate the current shortfall, the plans for Douglas and Port Erin Police Station and the cost of the proposed extension to Broadcasting House.
