Interim Census next month

by isleofman.com 7th March 2016

An interim census is to take place next month, Sunday 24th April 2016.

This time there is the option to complete the Census form online, if preferred.  An information leaflet is being distributed to households this week with forms experted to be delivered between 11-15th April.

A full census of the Island has been carried out every ten years since 1821, however, since 1996 a shorter interim census has also been carried out at the halfway point between the full censuses.

The results provide an accurate count of the Island’s population, and are used to help Government, local authorities and businesses plan services for the future.

Information about the census is available online at www.gov.im/census.
