New LG to be sworn in in Douglas

Castletown Commissioners is 'disappointed' the new Lieutenant Governor won't be sworn in there.

In a departure from tradition, Sir Richard Gozney will be inaugurated in Douglas at the end of May, instead of in the ancient capital.

It's due to the deteriorating condition of the courtroom at Castle Rushen.

But Commissioners Chairman Alwyn Collister says the venue has historical importance:
