Data collection could be more efficient, say witnesses

A unified government database could improve the process of selecting jury members.

That was just one of the topics under the spotlight as a Tynwald Committee on juries sat again last Friday (11 March).

Among the witnesses giving evidence were government Technology Director Mark Lewin and External Relations Director Della Fletcher.

Mr. Lewin said that the current policy of choosing jurors from the electoral roll could benefit from new methods of information storage.
