Murder Mystery Evening raises funds for Hospice Isle of Man

by isleofman.com 17th March 2016
Pictured are the ladies from the Onchan Hospice Committee. This regional committee has been running for a number of years and is an invaluable source of revenue and PR for local charity, Hospice Isle of Man.

From left to right are Honorary Secretary Mrs Ann Scott; Chairperson Mrs Gwyneth Turnbull along with committee members Mrs Lesley Postlethwaite, Mrs Lee Pope and Mrs Carolyn Rawson.

The ladies were delighted to have raised the fantastic sum of ?920 from a very much enjoyed Murder Mystery event held at Onchan Parish Hall. The Suspect Players, under the leadership of Jane McGreggor Edwards, acted out a space themed murder, to the intrigue of the capacity audience. Mrs McGreggor Edwards also writes the plays so each showing is unique. A wonderful supper was supplied by Chris Docherty of Culinery Liberation. Appreciation also goes to Andy Shearer and Caroline Alexander for assisting with the supper.

A raffle was held and the Committee would like everyone that attended the event for their support. Mrs Turnbull expressed her delight at this wonderful amount raised and thanked everyone involved for making the event so successful.
