Keys probe over DHSC files 'tampering'

Have government workers interfered with official files – either by falsifying them or removing them?

That’s the question Onchan MHK Peter Karran wants answered when the House of Keys sits next week.

On Tuesday, he’ll quiz Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle on the issue.

In the only question for oral answer due before the House, Mr Karran will ask whether staff in Mr Quayle’s department are alleged to have meddled with records.

Mr Karran wants to know whether any allegations have been made against workers in the department in the past.

He’ll also ask if any such allegation has been proven, and whether it’s a criminal offence to tamper with the files in that way.

In the final part of his question, he’ll also ask Mr Quayle what families can do if they suspect their case files have been tampered with.

You can hear live coverage of House of Keys questions from 10am on Tuesday on Manx Radio’s AM1368 frequency, online at manxradio.com or via mobile app.
