Rachel to launch island’s first Every Woman Programme

by isleofman.com 18th March 2016
Rachel Kermeen, the island’s only Holistic Core Restore® coach is pleased to announce the launch of the Isle of Man’s first ‘Every Woman Programme’ which begins on 21 April 2016.

The 6-week programme, which is for women at every age, aims to help improve ladies’ pelvic floor strength, core strength and wellbeing.

Commenting on the news Rachel said, “Pelvic floor health is not talked about often enough in our society. It affects many, many women – especially those who have gone through childbirth or are in the pre or post-menopausal period. This new course is all about education, re-connection and movement. I’m going to say it: if you leak when you laugh, run, cough or sneeze, you need to improve your pelvic floor strength. It’s a problem women don’t have to live with – there is a solution, and it’s never too late to start. It’s a fact that without proper treatment and exercise, weakened pelvic floor muscles can develop into pelvic organ prolapse, so it really is important.

Likewise - women that suffer from diastasis (separation of the tummy muscles), and a weak core – there are simple exercises you can do to help.”
