?1,000 of cannabis found by police

An 18-year-old Douglas man who has admitted possessing over £1,000-worth of cannabis with intent to supply has had his case adjourned for two weeks.

David Anthony Teare, of Belmont Terrace, was in a car stopped by police on December 18 last year.

The vehicle smelt strongly of cannabis, and officers found 11 one-gram bags of cannabis bush, worth £220 in total.

A search of his home uncovered another 37 grams of cannabis bush, worth around £740, and almost 57 grams of cannabis resin, valued at just under £300.

Deputy high Bailiff Jayne Hughes adjourned the case until March 29.
