Frontline advice to widen career choice

First-hand experience offered to students

The challenges working parents face juggling jobs and families have been outlined to Island youngsters this week.

Forty women from different employment spheres offered first-hand experience to Ramsey Grammar School pupils at a special careers event. 

It was part of Inspiring Women week - an initiative to encourage students to consider a broad range of careers, and tackle male and female job stereotypes.

Year 9 pupils took park in speed-date career networking session, in which they quizzed women from a wide range of industries and professions in the Island.
